METCHEM is founded in 1999, specialized in high-grade recycling of industrial waste.
In 2005 METCHEM started to expand its business and added spent catalyst recycling. Spent catalyst recycling has since become a substantial business of METCHEM.
The growing business of recycling of oil by-products, residues and waste formed an independent business unit in 2012.
Six years later, METCHEM grew its portfolio towards the pharmaceutical industry, providing recycling solutions for pharmaceuticals like cytostatics.
